Community Service
The lawyers at Mitchell Sanchez pride themselves on the amount of community service they perform. Ms. Sanchez was a recent recipient of the Pro Bono Publico award from the Louisiana State Bar Association which recognizes an outstanding attorney who has demonstrated dedication to the development of legal services to the poor. She has also attended Verbo Church’s annual clinic where she offered free legal advice to people. Mr. Mitchell and Ms. Sanchez are frequent guests at local latin festivals and gatherings. They have set up a booth at the Pontchatrain Center during World Cup Soccer matches to provide free information and legal advice.
Ms. Sanchez was appointed by the past president of the Louisiana Bar Association to serve on the Language Access Subcommittee. She has volunteered her time to testify before the Louisiana Legislature on issues involving translation services during court proceedings.
Mr. Mitchell and Ms. Sanchez frequently volunteer their time to educate other lawyers by providing speeches and seminars on various legal topics. Ms. Sanchez has made many appearances on local radio and television stations to offer free advice to callers.
